ARAMIS

ARAMIS is a metro simulation game in which you control a train car on the tracks of the Parisian network. Reach different stations before the time runs out to win. But be careful: your train’s route will be saved on the network, and you’ll have to avoid it during your next game.

Rules: Customize your train car, then start the game. Spot your train and the station you need to reach. Once the game starts, you can control your speed with the left controller and your direction with the lever on the right. You can aslo rotate the map using the right and left arrow.  Reach the 3 target stations before time runs out to win. Once you complete the challenge, you can play again but this time you’ll have to avoid your previous train, which will still be on the tracks. And so on: the network will become more and more crowded, so watch out for crashes!

This game was created as part of the Flops exhibition at the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris. It is inspired by the Aramis project, an individual mini-metro system developed in Paris between 1970 and 1987, before being abandoned due to the project’s excessive complexity.

ARAMIS was developped during the second workshop of the Interactive Design and Experiences class of GOBELINS Paris in collaboration with the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris. It was made by 4 people over a period of 2 weeks. The game was originally in Augmented Reality and was experienced by the public during the weekend FLOPS in january of 2026.
